Why Washingtontini?

The Washingtontini is a Washington state-inspired cocktail. Everything about this cocktail screams Washington state, even the name. If you didn’t know, Washington state is very well known for being one of the best places in the world to grow apples. One of our very own co-founders, Vianca, was actually born in Washington state and happens to love martinis. Nevertheless, we decided to make this cocktail a red apple martini.

About the Washingtontini

The most important ingredient in this cocktail is the vodka. We used an all American vodka called Fifty States Vodka, which we have been obsessing over! It is a brand that we hold close to our hearts. Fun fact about this brand is that, like us, they are also located in Florida. We love supporting our neighbors! This smooth premium vodka does it all for us. It is a family brand designed to bring people together by representation and unity. We absolutely love everything this brand stands for.

When people think apple martinis they always think green apples. We switched up this apple martini and used red apples instead! Another star ingredient is the Martinelli’s apple juice. Some say this is the best apple juice, and we agree. It is perfectly sweet and tart.

We wanted to keep this cocktail on the sweet side and give it some spice! We made a homemade cinnamon simple syrup. Making simple syrup is as simple as it sounds. Boil 2 cups water with 5 cinnamon sticks, add 1½ cup sugar and stir until dissolved. Then pour your cinnamon simple syrup into the desired bottle. You can use this syrup on anything and everything. Add it to your coffee, pancakes, ice cream, fruits. The possibilities are endless.

Ingredients
  • 2 ounces Fifty States Vodka: coconut-like sweetness with a creamy, bright and velvety medium-dry body.
  • 1½ ounce apple juice we used Martinelli’s apple juice.
