About the Red and the Blue

The icy blue colored Red Bull in this cocktail is their Coconut Edition. The Coconut Edition Red Bull is a tangy blend of exotic coconut and fruity blueberry flavor. It pairs perfectly with the tart Deep Eddy cranberry vodka!

Deep Eddy puts the “Proud” in the name of this cocktail. It is an authentic American vodka that originated in Texas. The cranberry vodka is a beautiful bright red and the label has hints of blue in the design, making this vodka perfect for Fourth of July festivities. That’s why we went with the mini bottles. The mini bottles double as a patriotic garnish to this cocktail!

Ingredients
  • Coconut Edition Red Bull ice cubes: These are so easy to make! Simply pour the Red Bull into an ice mold and let it freeze over night.
  • 6 ounces Coconut Edition Red Bull: This is a coconut-blueberry flavored version of the most popular energy drink out!
  • 50 ml Deep Eddy cranberry: Bright red and perfectly tart. Deep Eddy is gluten-free! This is a perk that will ensure everyone at your party can drink this delicious cocktail.
  • blueberry skewer garnish
Steps
  1. Pour 1 can of Coconut Red Bull into an ice mold and freeze overnight.
  2. Add a little more than half of the ice cubes to a blender.
  3. Add 6 ounces of Coconut Red Bull and blend.
  4. Pour into a rocks glass.
  5. Turn one mini bottle of Deep Eddy Cranberry upside down into the slushy.
  6. Garnish with a skewer of blueberries.

Variations

  • Try with different flavored Red Bull: Blue Edition Red Bull will keep a similar color scheme.
  • Try with different flavored vodka: Deep Eddy also has a really good grapefruit or lemon flavored color vodka. This will switch up the color scheme and introduce some new flavors.

Substitutions

  • If you don’t have the time or budget to make Red Bull ice, use regular crushed ice instead.
