Hosting a party can be hectic, these dispenser make it easy and enjoyable for your guests to serve themselves.
The Blood Orange Margarita is the perfect sweet and thirst quenching concoction.
We started off with one of our go-to reposado tequilas, Teremana.
We used Stirrings Simple Blood Orange Martini, this is a blood orange and key lime juice cocktail blend. It’s so good you can drink it on the rocks. We love the ingredients in this mix. It’s made with real juice and no preservatives! They recommend to simply add vodka to make a blood orange martini, but we liked the mix so much we decided to put it to the test in a margarita. It did not disappoint!
Another co-star in this cocktail is the salt. We are big time salt fans, and Twang is at the top of our list of our favorite brands. Since this is a citrusy cocktail we decided to go with Twangs’ Citrus Rimming Salt. It’s all about balance when it comes to cocktails and since this cocktail is a bit on the sweet side we thought a citrusy salt would be the perfect touch to keep it well balanced.
2 ounces Teremana Reposado: Teremana has a great reposado tequila. Their blanco tequila will also go well with this cocktail.
2 ounces Stirrings Simply Blood Orange Martini Mix: This is a blood orange and key lime juice cocktail blend. It’s made with real juice and it’s preservative free.
1⁄2 agave: This is our go-to sweetener for margaritas.
1⁄2 blood orange liqueur: We used Dekyuper’s Blood Orange Liqueur from their Mixologist Collection.
3⁄4 lime juice: We prefer freshly squeezed citrus juices, but if fresh squeezed lime juice is impractical, Cocktail Artist offers excellent premium juices.
Citrus Rimming Salt: We used Twangs’ Citrus Splash rimming salt.
Salt your desired glass with Twangs Citrus Rimming Salt
Try switching up the flavor of the salt. Twang offers several wonderful margarita rimming salts such as grapefruit, strawberry-lime, or classic lime.
Feel free to substitute Teremana Blanco if the reposado is unavailable.
If flavored salts aren’t your jam, any coarse kosher salt may be used to rim the glass. Avoid using iodized table salt, as it tends to be a little bitter and very salty. Twang also has a good kosher flake salt.
